SCQC General Statement

15 May 2020

Dear PARENTS, STUDENTS & PERSONNEL,

Greetings! Blessed be God forever!

The COVID-19 pandemic greatly wreaked havoc in our lives. It brought many uncertainties. It posted a
serious challenge to the education of our children. Confronting these travails and trials, Siena College,
QC continuously sought possibilities of continuing its mission in response to the needs of the Church,
country, family, and society through the educational apostolate.

We thank you our dear parents and students for your trust, support, and cooperation as our teachers and administration continued to come up with innovative ways of delivering instruction during the fourth quarter amidst the pandemic and finishing the school year 2019-2020.

To tackle the drastic changes and the demands of the times and the new school year ahead, the school administration has prepared the following measures for the SCQC NEW NORMAL to address the essentials in the holistic formation of our children. These were formulated with strict compliance
to school, DepEd, CHEd and government protocols:

Report Card will be available for online viewing through Aralinks platform starting June 1, 2020.

Admission and Enrollment
-SCQC will no longer do manual enrollment but instead it will shift to online via OrangeApps
starting SY 2020-2021. Please wait for further instruction for the enrollment process.
-Enrolment starts on June 1, 2020.
-New students and transferees’ entrance exam and interview are waived. However, diagnostic test and interview will be done when students are allowed to come to school.
-Submission of requirements such as grades, good conduct grades, certification of good moral
character, etc. will be online. (visit our website: http://scqc.edu.ph/)
-Students with developmental needs must submit certification from authorities/professionals.
-Classes will start on August 10, 2020.

Mode of instructional delivery The OrangeApps platform will help to manage the entire operation of the school such as enrollment, finance, learning, grades, school social media, analytics, and other admin, student, teacher, and parent features. SCQC through the OrangeApps will have its own Learning Management System that will allow teachers do the following: create unlimited online classes, like in classroom feed, comment in classroom feed, post files (pdf, power point, word) in classroom feed, create submission of documents/images for classwork with deadline in classroom feed, create take activity, auto correction for activity, analytics, and others.

The school shall utilize the Online Learning and Flexible Blended or Hybrid learning mode of instructional delivery. A hybrid remote learning class maintains a schedule
of in-person class meetings and onlineteaching during the current year. Blendedlearning
represents a model that integrates technology to boost learning and delivery.
(Austria and Almario, 2020).
Our teachers are undergoing training on online teaching and have been attendingeducational webinars as part of their preparation.

Orientation and guidelines will be given to parents and students before the start of the academic year.
