We know the challenges faced by Catholic schools in today’s globalized world. In order to remain true
to our Catholic identity and mission of bringing the joy of the Gospel to all, we need to continually
equip our teachers/catechists with relevant knowledge and skills.
Pope Francis said that being a catechist is a vocation of service in the Church, a gift of the Lord that
changes lives. Moreover, he emphasized that catechists should receive “suitable biblical, theological,
pastoral, and pedagogical formation to be competent communicators of the truth of the faith which
calls for intelligence and courage to develop up-to-date tools that can transmit the richness and joy of
the kerygma to people today” (vaticannews.va., 2021).
Responding to this call, Siena College Quezon City (SCQC) offers the following Religious Education
Graduate Programs to equip religion teachers/catechists to be more professionally competent and
holistically formed as teachers of our Catholic faith.

• Master of Arts in Religious Education (MARE)
• Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (MAPM)

SCQC has produced graduates who are now successfully teaching and serving schools and dioceses in
the country.
With this, may we invite you to be our partner in this noble endeavor by sending your religion
teachers/catechists to enroll in our graduate programs. This collaboration is our share in the
evangelizing mission of the Church.
Masteral classes are done online and scheduled every Saturday only. Online enrolment is ongoing.
Classes will start on August 7, 2021.
